Christmas
a feeling of soft candle light
and gentle quiet,
happy laughter,
and singing–
singing softly,

sweetly,
joyously…
and I am filled with happiness
as I celebrate.
Christmas–
filling me
with a wonderful joy
that does not leave me
with the passing of Christmas,
but remains ever inside me,
a spark
that will flare
and fill me with warmth
throughout the year
at unexpected
and precious times
of loving.
Christmas
a time to offer gifts
that express love
and share a spirit
of loving tenderness,
of laughing happiness…
in the sparkle of treelights,
as the sweet songs of peace
create in everyone
a warm inner glow–
as people who love
celebrate love
at Christmas.
