My Sunshine

The hero is a short piece full of Ruth's wisdom

My sunshine can’t be seen right now–

It’s hidden deep inside me,

To gently heal my wounded heart

With warmth my world denied me.

My sunshine never leaves my heart

When I’m filled with rainy tears;

It’s there behind the clouds of life

To calm my stormy fears

Though winter time surrounds me now–

My world has turned so cold,

My sunshine will bring spring again

And turn my clouds to gold.

And when my heart is warm again,

You’ll see it overflowing–

With warmth and caring in my eyes,

You’ll see my sunshine glowing.

My sunshine is my love of life:

It somehow keeps me going

Even when I feel despair,

It’s there, inside me–growing.
