Truth

Truth Is a poem by famed author and poet, Ruth Desjardins

Truth

All living is growing;

All loving is good;

All freedom proceeds from the truth.

All fears must be conquered;

All pride must be earned;

All virtue is lost without truth.

All feelings are answers;

All anger is pain;

All values must lead us to truth;

All tears are for healing;

All errors for learning;

For errors just postpone the truth.

Each heart must be lonely;

Each mind thinks alone–

A searchlight to seek out the truth–

Each soul longs for someone,

But each one, alone,

Must learn to stand up for the truth.

All life is a challenge;

All fear destroys dreams;

Pretense will just camoflage truth;

All strength comes from trying;

All courage from hoping;

All joy holds the beauty of truth.
